The following changes were approved by HYBL Board on October 12, 2009:

  • The HYBL Board approved making the 10 minute per player per half playing time requirement a rule across all divisions and all ages beginning this season.  Formerly, the rule was 10 minutes per player per half for ages 12 and under, but 5 minutes per player per half for players 13 and older.  Now the 10 minutes per half rule extends to all ages and divisions.  Coaches who do not follow this rule will not be allowed to continue coaching.  The league is for the kids and we feel this is a very positive step for all.

Changes in Rules:
  • If a coach, parent or player is ejected from a game, the ejection period is the remainder of that game and the next game.  The person ejected must leave the gym area.  The referee can not change the ejection period.
